They DIDN'T like me after a while because I wasn't cheerful & smiling all the time which tells me that none of the workers themselves regularly donate plasma. Donating plasma usually is NOT painful but it is tiring & is a "job" so to speak. You have to prepare yourself mentally & physically. It's NOT "easy money". It takes time, good health, & dedication. And personally I prefer to watch a movie on my phone while donating rather than chit chat with the workers. 

And occasionally things DO go wrong. A bad jab by one of the workers may have permanently eliminated one of my arms from being useful for future donations. And It was painful for several months. I also detected that they talk about people in the back (ie gossip). This location may need a total shake-up . 

I think this location has stagnated & even a few of the employees have bully personalities & a few are a little lazy. These are NOT exactly the cream of the crop workers.  They even tried to SHAME me for expressing that I was feeling a little pain & discomfort. 

You should feel totally FREE to say something DOESN'T feel right. It usually means they simply need to adjust the needle. NOBODY should feel ashamed for saying it hurts. 

And if you leave it in too long when there is pain it could cause long-term issues to the point that you are unable to donate again. But they have an almost endless line of bodies so they are MORE concerned with quantity than quality. 

 You become expendable.

 Do NOT let them take advantage of you. Keep your own records. Document everything. It's your body. You only live once. DON'T let them treat you like a pin cushion 🚫.

 Assert your rights in a polite manner & if they cut you off for doing so, you know this is NOT the right place to be. There are OTHER places to donate plasma. Or NOT at all. What's more important: a few bucks in your pocket or your health & peace of mind. 

Personally i am  disappointed & am  moving on. A lot of the best workers have moved on too. A few good ones are still there. I wish them the best

I'm concerned about the leadership creating a cult like following. And now you are required to kneel before them to receive the eucharist. Of course they say it's kneeling before God & showing respect to God but it FEELS LIKE YOU'RE KNEELING to the PRIESTS .

 Puchner & Bushmaker are both midwest dudes . Puchner used to be a virtuous brother but I'm concerned he's losing it. I wonder if it's time for the bishop to shake things up a little. These 2 priests have been here for SO LONG now. Pray about it.🙏🙏✝️✝️🙏🙏✝️✝️

April 2022: This was one of my BEST experiences ever at an auto repair shop ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. 

They gave me a fair price 💰 to do the job 👨‍🔧 & they did it in a timely manner. They even checked all the fluids and air in my tires and they gave me a discount for cash 💵. And they're very nice and friendly.  Good honest family operation 👍. Not greedy.

My experience with Henry's towing unfortunately was NOT very positive.  Although the driver did a good job of hooking up my vehicle and taking all the  safety precautions,  when I got in the truck with him to get towed to the repair shop he started blaring  "gangsta rap" included all the profanities like the F word S Word B Word  as well as the N word & lyrics very degrading towards women. 

 And I'm a Christian woman and don't like nor approve of this kind of music.   I know there are those people who like to blare it in their car when their driving to annoy people  but you DON'T expect it from a so-called professional tow truck driver while you're driving with him 🚫👎😡.  NOT just very unprofessional but dehumanizing and degrading.

Re Angel Stadium Ticket 🎟 Box Office walk-up Window

What's the deal at the ticket box office window? I  just came there to buy a ticket & he  asked me for my email address.  I said "Why? Are  you going to email it to me? I don't get a hard copy?  

He  said "No we just do that for your account."  I said " I don't have an account. He said " I know. We're going to make an account for you ". I said " I don't NEED nor WANT an account.  Then he asked for my license and  wrote down  my address &  my full name - maybe even my driver's license number etc.

Then he looked over my credit card several times in that white Orange County arrogant style. 

All this just to buy a single baseball ticket. I've been coming here since 1984 when they had the old style Stadium  when the Rams used to play here too.  

 In this day and age NOBODY wants all their information out there without their consent esp not just for a baseball ticket.  GOOD freakin grief. What the hell is going on ? 

Are  they harvesting our information so they can sell it ? Or use it for marketing etc. We're tired of all that facebook crap 👎.  I drive here to buy a ticket in the old school way because I DON'T want to do it online. I DON'T want to make an account and buy a ticket electronically. I just want to buy an old fashioned ticket made of paper.  IT'S already bad enough you can't use cash anymore.  You have to use a credit card.  But now we have to give all our information as well .  I was waiting for him to ask for my social security number.  It's getting tiring & sickening. STOP using us as marketing data 👎. Just STOP . 

Review re Beverly Hills Library

So I've been coming here for years since 1984 when our family moved to Southern Cal and then more regularly later when I started using the computers for a while and then covid shut things down & I was traveling most of the time but returned one Sunday & decided to drop in and use a computer for my ongoing project.

AND as I sat down in the upstairs area at a computer a little while later a young man comes in and sits nearby at another computer but pulls out a laptop- seems to be using his laptop at the computer station . Then pulls out some kind of bottle and starts shaking it with some liquid in it and starts taking his medication or whatever. 

SO I turn and look over that way and stare at him trying to figure out what's going on with this  young dude ? I'm thinking maybe I should go tell the lady behind the desk about it. He shouldn't actually be there if he's not using the computer & he shouldn't be eating or drinking at the computer . 

He seemed to be "setting up shop" &  was annoying and distracting. But I decided to let it go if he would quiet down and do whatever he's doing and he did for a little while. But then another patron arrived and told the lady behind the desk that this young dude shouldn't be there and he wanted to use that computer. 

SO they walked over to the young dude and told him he had to leave he had to move. The young dude first tried to say he has  "special permission" to be here. And he didn't - he was just lying. And then he tried to mistreat the lady saying "Are you new here?" and she isn't but she is a little bit foreign.  

I think this young dude was of a special religion that's  prevalent in Beverly hills. Not to denigrate the religion but some who practice this religion are NOT actually sincere and they're sometimes quite self-centered. 

Others who practice this religion are more sincere and honest. So the young dude reluctantly gets up & starts to leave and as he passes me by he whispers in my ear a term of HATE. It was very creepy & strange & annoying & disturbing. And not true to who I am either. I live a highly moral life. So I reported the incident to a staff member and we confronted  the young dude who was now downstairs. And his initial  response was not to apologize or even any remorse but to say "who is this guy? "  as if he was the center of the world.  I've been coming to this library probably since before he was born. And now I'm the victim of his hateful ignorance . I am STILL trying to get it OUT of my head several months later - it was so creepy & hateful & misplaced. SICKENING creep. 👎

Malaga Cove library review

In general very decent. they leave you alone . however sometimes if there's an event & parking gets full in the lot & on the road one time I had to park down the street in front of a neighbor's house & he didn't like my older model  car & called the police & falsely reported that it was parked overnight. 

 So the police came & put a tow warning on my car. subsequently I called the police department & told them that I had only been there a few hours and this is a very good PD & very respectful & they don't  judge you by  your socio economic status and they said "Sorry about that" .

 They took this resident at his word &  they trusted this neighbor & got burned. They won't trust him next time.  I felt like I should go and confront the guy but it would just escalate & since he is clearly a "person of the lie" he would probably NOT be honorable & apologize & might even falsely accuse  me of something. 

This kind of person is one to AVOID at all cost.  So I just know to avoid parking by that guy's house 👎. But the library has nothing to do with the neighbor being an A-hole. 

Review of Palos Verdes Library (peninsula)

It has been quite a journey since I first arrived at Palos Verdes Library many years ago. I remember when I first came in I was impressed with the spacious setting & ability to use the computers without interruption and  do some work upstairs on my laptop ( which later got stolen after getting broken into by Dodger Stadium and I decided I would never buy another laptop).  

And it's still pretty good but over the years there have been newcomers; The Good the Bad and the Ugly as they say.  I mean some will come with an attitude.  Some seem like they just got out of prison. And there's some nice ones as well.  Some of those here have an attitude & just keep coming back day after day -there they are again.

  One guy with a ponytail is on the computer every day in the same spot. I remember when he first arrived. I call him "the machine." I think he must have some kind of obsessive compulsive issues.  

And then there's a lady who always wears the hoodie and seems angry. I just call her the " hoodie lady" or under my breath some other words. Such an angry vibe from her it really spoils the atmosphere 😞. 

And then just recently somebody came and I was sitting at a computer and she kept staring at me. She stood behind me and stared at me until I turned around and glared at her wondering what the heck she wanted. And then there's also another girl maybe of a certain religion - highly supercilious- I try to avoid getting on her bad side cuz she has a  sneer that'll kill. As they say "If looks could kill". Not a surprise that she's not employed anywhere the way she treats other people. 

And then there's those who came for a while and then they disappeared - haven't seen them for many months or years now. 

And then we had the covid interruption -I spent most of the time traveling during this covid Interruption.  Now I've come back and am seeing who is who and what is what. I still use the computers periodically for very moral, ethical, & legal  tasks & purposes pertaining to my Christian Ministry which of course I don't talk much about because people  around Southern California are very closed off & definitely NOT open to engaging in conversation about being saved by Jesus Christ.

 Therefore most of the time I (& we) do my evangelism outside of California where people are more open to talking about being saved by Jesus Christ. But I have roots here so I periodically return and do a little R & R and update things and spend time in Palos Verdes and Newport Beach etc.  

And i  hike  the trails a mile up the hill which has changed  as well with all the mickey mouse parking issues and now the rangers who roam around in their white trucks - a little too bossy. I mean I've been hiking here for years and they come along and think that they're in charge of everybody - and they never hike by the way - they just sit in their  trucks & drive around like they're the boss.  So now I have to drive an extra mile to go to a different trail just to avoid them and the bad bossy vibe they emit.
