Review of Mount Rainier National Park (Mowich, Tolmie, Spray Falls/Park)

Great place to camp or just park for the day to take either trail to Tolmie Peak ⛰ and/or Spray Falls & park , or a few other destinations. End of July Lake Mowich is warm enough to swim in ๐ŸŠ ๐Ÿ‘. Don't bother fishing ๐ŸŽฃ though - i don't think there's any fish ๐ŸŸat all, except i DID see a few dead crayfish - but only dead ones.

And there's also Lake Eunice on way to Tolmie - smaller than Mowich - there were some critters in the water - maybe polliwigs on the verge of becoming frogs ๐Ÿธ. & don't forget mosquito spray or something to keep the bugs away - repellant seems to work but I ran out and then I had to use mud on my arms which actually worked pretty good .

Oh also DON'T forget to purchase a park pass (or preferably  an annual pass to save money if you go to the National Park more than two times per year) .

You might think that the rangers won't drive all the way out there to issue parking citations but they DO. In  fact when I came back from Spray Park I saw several citations on vehicles as I was walking back to my car .

I'm glad I had put my annual pass on my dashboard cuz sometimes I DON'T do it thinking that they don't really ever check - but this time I did so I didn't get a ticket.

I wonder how many people actually DO have annual passes but just forgot or neglected to put them on their dashboard.

To be honest there's NOT a lot of signs saying you need to post your pass on your dashboard. Maybe they do that purposely to surprise you and raise a little revenue. Nothing surprises me

Re AMC movie ๐ŸŽฅ theatre in Bellevue WA (Factoria 8)

Re AMC movie ๐ŸŽฅ theatre in Bellevue WA (Factoria 8) This theater ๐ŸŽฅ has nice reclining seats -very comfortable &  the parking is free and plentiful.  I don't know why everybody's complaining about it - maybe in the evening it gets crowded but at the matinee there was more than enough parking.

However  the environment is kind of strange.  I like it when employees actually have seen some of the movies - that they're actually movie aficionados so you can chat with them a bit  about it.

Too often  it seems that they're just there because it's an easy job. I think they should require the employees to watch some of the movies so that you can interact with them & say "Did you like this movie ? " or "What do u recommend?" etc  so you're not just feeling like a piece of meat ๐Ÿ–- paying- moneyget in -now get out - next up.

I personally do movie reviews so  that's another reason I like to be able to talk to other people about the movies including the employees - just briefly in passing. I mean if you want to work at a movie theater hopefully it's because you DO like movies a little bit.

AND also that you respect people who come to see the movies - that they're thinking while they're watching a movie - that you the employee DOESN'T just see the customer as somebody who throws money at you & pays your hourly wage - not just popcorn- eating idiots .

Does that make sense? Everybody likes to be respected . I do movie reviews.  I write about the movies & I like to be respected for my thoughtful critique . i also exercise & work out ๐Ÿ‹ & went to college & grad school.

Most importantly i am a Christian ✝ & started the motto #PrayTheMovies ๐Ÿ™ ๐ŸŽฅ. I've done 1000's of "Movie Reviews for Christians" - meaning I've paid a good chunk of your wages as well.  I hope you can respect THAT.

re Taco Bell near Walmart in Bellingham WA after NBA finals free taco day 2021

Some days you just want to get a freebie with a smile like today -all the Taco Bells are giving away a free Taco because of  Milwaukee Bucks winning the NBA Championship ๐Ÿ€- having come back from a halftime deficit - that was the deal & promotion by #TacoBell ๐ŸŒฎ ๐Ÿ›Ž.

It was early so i  wasn't too hungry and I ask for the free taco and they provided it- but with NO HAPPINESS ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ. The girl who handed it to me NEVER smiled - just a b- face ๐Ÿ˜– maybe because I didn't order anything else -I don't know.

Sometimes clerks will do that to punish you if you are a bargain hunter. That's NOT cool ๐Ÿ‘Ž. Come on girl ๐Ÿ‘ง- DON'T do that ๐Ÿšซ. Give me a smile ☺ and make me feel good every now and then when enjoying a freebie. You'll still get paid

Give me a smile ๐Ÿ˜€ and a sincere "Have a nice day". Be gracious and kind . Do unto others as you would have them do unto YOU.

Re place where I hiked & a teachable moment

Pretty nice place - free parking & you take a Switchback Trail down to the water across the train track. One side of the water was very grassy NOT very swimmable. The other side was more clear - I went swimming ๐ŸŠ here and this is after I had taken about a 7 mile hike ๐Ÿ‘ฃ up by nearby Fragrance Lake.

So I was a little bit tired and then I had an " issue" coming back up the Switchback Trail so I went off the trail and this is where I'll just have to be honest with ya'll - a guy started yelling at me not to take shortcuts but I had to find a place off the trail to take care of business (if you know what I mean) -  I had diarrhea ๐Ÿ’ฉ -a bad bout of diarrhea- that had to be released -so I snuck off to the side and he thought I was taking a shortcut and started yelling at me.

I'm glad he didn't chase or he would have been in for an unpleasant surprise ๐Ÿ’ฉ. But it just goes to show that you if you're self- righteous or holier-than-thou sometimes you should suspend judgment until you know the whole story.

Re 'homeless' begging at church exit

I Like this church ⛪ but as i was leaving there was an ethnic couple with a child standing by the exit holding a sign asking for help.

This is NOT the first time I've experienced this at a Catholic Church (elsewhere).  It seems like there's a few people who specifically know exactly what time people will be leaving and they target churchgoers either to guilt them or if you give them something they give you God's blessing as if they are actually superior to you which is an odd feeling:

As you're helping them, they're actually acting condescending toward you as if for some reason you're just some schmuck going to church and they're some sort of sophisticated 'survivor' who is closer to God than you -which makes me angry actually - and it also leaves me feeling like these people are scamming me for a handout or  some kind of psychological manipulation rather than  actually being really needy.

I handed them two cans of food that I carry for homeless people but once again I didn't feel like I was giving it to somebody who was really so needy but was actually quite savvy ๐Ÿ‘Ž.

Like they decided to go stand by the Catholic church and see if these church people are really very generous or not.  and my question is ARE U REALLY NEEDY OR NOT ? If not,   you are SCAMMING people .

Yes I was that guy walking around with a blank ball under my arm at ballard locks

Yes I was that guy walking around with a blank ball under my arm at ballard locks -some people may be wondering why when there's no  blank around the area -strangely after visiting the locks visitor center I came out and there was a brand new blank ball sitting right there on the sidewalk.

I looked around at all the people there and asked "Is this your ball is this your ball ?" everybody said NO so I picked it up and walked around thinking maybe I'd see a family or people who forgot their new ball  and they'd say "Hey, that's our ball " -but nobody did

SO I just walked back to my car with it. If you lost your ball and can identify it -let me know & you can have it back ๐Ÿ‘

re Scriber Lake Park & homeless, Lynnwood WA

My experience here does NOT match up with the negative reviews i read about homeless & needles etc. I DIDN'T see a single piece of trash. I saw a city worker emptying garbage cans. I saw city workers pouring wood chips on trail. I saw one man fishing.

By the way, a person may be without a home temporarily but shouldn't be denigrated as 'homeless'. I DON'T get it when people who have EVERYTHING: a home, car, money etc find it necessary to kick people who are down & out.

Sure, some made bad choices but not always - some are victims too. But if you are somebody who made all the right choices & have never been victimized you should simply be thankful & try to help others out of their bad situation - if not with material things at least thru prayer & encouragement ๐Ÿ‘.

disappointed with seattle archbishop Etienne 's recent pronouncement re communion

i am disappointed with archbishop Etienne 's recent pronouncement re  communion basically without any standards - even if you're in favor of abortion - even if you are in a position of political power & take steps to support abortion rather than preserve life -

Etienne says you can STILL receive communion because it's "about grace". But these are NOT people apologetic nor repentant about abortion - they are NOT in a state of grace - they're NOT even asking for grace at the communion table - they are arrogantly in defiance of God & the catholic church position on abortion. Etienne is either obtuse or corrupt himself - neither of which is tolerable at such a high position

Lynwood WA: Walmart should NOT have supremacist ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ India-Americans ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ working at self-checkout.

Walmart should NOT have supremacist ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ India-Americans ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ working at self-checkout. Furthermore because they are also Hindus & frown ๐Ÿ˜  upon alcohol , they have barely hidden contempt for customers who purchase beer etc .

That is another reason India-Americans should NOT be working in positions where they are a negative influence on the customer experience ๐Ÿ‘Ž. You're better off driving ๐Ÿš—to the full-service supercenter 5 miles north in Everett - much better customer experience at the Everett location . TOO many India-Americans who think they are superior here in Lynwood ๐Ÿ‘Ž WA

Re Walmart in Lynwood WA, July 2021

Walmart, Lynwood WA,
(425) 741-9445

I love people from India ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ - they are a valuable part of the USA melting pot ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ - however some of them think they are SUPERIOR to others

Even at self- checkout the Indian employee (+ 2 other India employees roaming around) 1st pointed in an authoritarian manner at which kiosk he wanted me to use as if we can't decide for ourselves & then asked if I had scanned the 2 t-shirts ๐Ÿ‘•.

I said YES. But then he scrolled thru the thing to make sure - & DIDN'T apologize for  doing so nor say "thank u sir" as would be expected - just acted very bossy & superior as if i was white trash ๐Ÿ—‘.

I went to college & more pal :

re When NOT to give fishing ๐ŸŽฃadvice

I'm not much of a fisherman but I carry a pole around with me and once in a while I like to walk out on a dock and cast my line for a while- NOT necessarily with  high hopes of catching anything8  but just being out there enjoying the water & the weather & a feeling of peacefulness.

I tell u this because I get tired of people coming up to me sometimes and trying to give me advice about how to catch fish. Even though they're NOT fishing themselves they think they're experts at telling other people how to catch fish ๐ŸŸ.

I'd be happy sometimes just casting a line ๐ŸŽฃ without even a hook on it just for something to do for a little while. It's called Zen.

So next time you see somebody fishing- even if they're NOT catching anything just allow them to enjoy their Zen -their peace.  Thank you very much ๐Ÿ‘
